Consisting of 13 snow-covered peaks, Shanzidou is the highest peak with an altitude of 18,360 feet. The mountain almost resembles a gigantic dragon clad in white snow, hence, the name Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. At the midpoint of the journey, we visit Gan Haizi, an alpine pasture situated at 7,500 feet above sea level. Next, we take a cable lift and enjoy the superlative natural scenery including an alpine meadow during half way to the glacier peak.
